One of my Yahoo accounts just worked, sort of. I got signed in and downloaded ten new messages. Could not read them but downloaded them.

My account at Cal State Long Beach still works so I load eprompter every day to check it. Usually it tries to get into several Yahoos and Gmails also and can't.

But today one of them logged in and downloaded. Who knows, maybe Yahoo is going back to the old system?

Only one word comes to mind, Diane: WEIRD ...! ;)

At this time, as you likely know, eP is being significantly retooled ... not just for Yahoo but other non-responsive webmail services as well.

So, to see that Yahoo is being read -- even in such a limited fashion -- is surprising.

Thanks for the heads up, anyway!! :)

One thing we all love about ePrompter is that it is not weird. Just sits there and does its job, never complains, never makes a mistake. Totally reliable. Once we lost that we panicked, the world was not right.

Now that something is working we think that working right is weird?

You don't call it weired when a software app hasn't work for over 2 yrs and now it works with one account from one user? Should we call it a miracle? :)

I don't doubt there will be a better eP. Otherwise, I would not check this forum from time to time.

That's cool. :)

Maybe I should create a new forum members' group: "Party Faithful" ...!

I have some very old Yahoo email accounts, some set up using LYNX, some set up using Windows 3.1.

Some of them are letting ePrompter in, randomly.

Two different ones, downloading things that look like this:

Yowza! That is old ...!!! B)

I remember Windows 3.1, but not LYNX ...!

As for the gibberish being shown in eP's rendering of the 2 emails, that's because you're using the Klingon version. Pete stopped supporting that one ages ago!! ^_^

Well, screenname2005, I've gone ahead and done it:

http://forum.eprompt...indpost&p=19472

I decided to create that group tonight and have inducted you, diane and another member (TJTeru from the above linked thread) as the first members of that "elite few" who deserve to be publicly recognized today and in the future for your unwavering support of ePrompter.

As I mentioned in the same thread back in November, you are those users who "will feel their loyalty tested while they wait out the repairs ..."

Cheers! :)
